Looking at portable washers, found mud daddy which cost about 30-35 quid depending where you look. Anyone tried one?

A 5L reservoir just won't cut it. I've got a Mobi with a 15L tank and depending on how claggy the mud is I sometimes have to fill it up again to get the bike really clean.

Not sure what the pressure on those is - aren't they marketed more as a dog washer?

Had a worx hydroshot for about 6 months now, can't fault it so far but it cost way more than op was looking to spend, think around £120 but doubt there's anything better for cleaning bikes 2 b honest. Battery lasts around 20 mins and 10l drum usually enough to properly clean 1 really dirty bike

Top Amazon review for the Mud Daddy:

"Very disappointed with this. I would return if it wasn't such a hassle. your suppose to build up air pressure but it hardly does so you have to have two hands to use it as you need to always pumped it. the brush is great but the flow is poor. i brought as have 4 dogs that do get muddy this time of year and i wanted to used after beach walks with the ease of removing sand. pointless and disappointed ."

Mountain bikers are going to be more demanding of pressure than a dog owner, washing their dog.

You'd be better off with something powered, like a Mobi.

£59.99 for 15L.

If you can't get to power, then the Rinsekit looks like a good option:

+1 for the hydroshot. It's not the cheapest thing you'll buy but it's worth it. Managed to clean 2 bikes on one battery this afternoon.
