Hi,

Just been at Torq 12:12, watching the teams with portable sprayers with envy as my front/ rear mech choked. Been sizing up the options, anyone got any recommendations? I was thinking of trying a Hozelock killaspray, looks good value at under £20 and safe to leave on teh side of the track solo'ing, but I can't find details of the pressure achieved anywhere online.

Any advice/ experience appreciated....

Couple of squeezy water bottles? Watering can?

I normally clean my mechs after a messy section with the camelbak.

But yeah the pump up water sprayers should be okay. I did wonder if the electric Ronseal fence sprayers could be used as a cheap electric solution.

I've got one of the Hozelock jobbies, it's alright, better for cleaning you than the bike if there's proper mud!

I've been using a couple of 2 ltr pop bottles with the pull tops off water bottles or sports drinks fitted to them, you tend to get through the water fairly quickly, but there's a good enough flow and pressure to shift most cloggages - total cost less than a pound!

I was using my dirtworker to good effect. Until we ran out of water.
