What kind of mudguards do you favour? I'm in two minds between chromplastics and bluemels.

Thanks.

I've been using chromplastics for years and they seem fine.

42mm instead of 35mm? I'm planning on cross three at some point in the winter.

If I was riding Cross, or offroad, I'd just take the mudguards off - pretty quick to do.

My limited experience of mudguards off road just had them all jam up under the wheel arch - making the bike unrideable.

Chromoplastics on mine, they work fine.
Though I have ziptied them under the fork crown and seatstay bridge, instead of using the bolts. This gives a bit more tyre clearance, and reduces rattling.

I won't be doing much in the way of offroading tbh. More so canal paths' fire roads and the like. Just wanted the option of muddies! Wanted to garner opinion on widths given I planned to use x tyres at some point is all.:-)

Not actually got mudguards on either of my Pomps, but have got a set of 45mm Vaverts on my Kaffenback (so nearly the same thing! ๐Ÿ˜‰ ). Worked well with enough clearance when I had 30c Schwalbe CX Comps on.

Chromoplastics for me ( mine are a bit long in the tooth and are held together with zip ties and araldite )
