Never been particularly fussed about having a carbon mtb , but love the carbon road bike.
I've had many steel road bikes,years ago. Would still like a steel mtb, one day.
Have 2 steel mountain bikes (Moonlander and a Krampus) and 1 steel road bike (AWOL) which has such a harsh ride, not digging it so far! (I just got it three weeks ago)

All aluminium just now. Except the trials bike, I've no idea what that's made of but that's OK because I never ride it.
