Had a great ride yesterday. Gorgeous weather, lovely drying trails, and hardly anyone about.
So with my finger on the pulse of Sunday evening TV schedules, I had a go at Cornish stereotype-spotting: I encountered...
Disused engine houses (ridden past) - 3
Disused engine houses (seen) – lost count
Stone circles - 2
Individual standing stones - 1
Quoits - 2
Other megalithic monuments – 1
Old china clay works - 1
Majestic coastal scenery - loads
Moorland ponies - 8
Topless men cutting grass - 0
Demelzas - 1
Scowls - 1
Wurzels-tribute-band accents – 0
Not bad for a twenty mile ride, though there’s obviously room for improvement near the bottom of the list.
Seriously though, what a gorgeous day!
great post for a Monday.
Did you get a pic of the Demelza?
I'm married to her, so I'm not sure sharing pics with you lot will go down well... 😉
Spouse spotting definitely does not count. -1 right there. 😉
Poldark?
I'll be leaving this ere then...
What was the 'other megalithic monument'? Something to do with the fact you saw Demelza?

Ah. I was expecting better things, on the basis that men-an-tol would be included in the quoit count.
