Polar HRM IR problems

My Polar HRM (S625X) has stopped transferring data via IR. Used to be OK but has gradually gotten intermittant. Anyone got any ideas?

I've tried it on a different IR device and same thing.

Battery?
it may not have enough power left for the IR but enough for the display

same thing happened to me with 3 i have owned, came to the conclusion in didn't like weekdays! in the end gave up! sorry i couldn't be more constructive 😕

I have a s725 and I've needed to send it back about once every 18months / 2 years to get the battery replaced. You'll find that the IR data transfer gets more and more flaky until the connection fails, as the battery gets nearer requiring replacing. I send it back to Polar UK and they sort it no problem.
