i've got some of the POC bone legs and love 'em

they're similar to normal hard shell armour, but the knee protection wraps over the knee and is made of VPD dough... it's easy to get what i'm on about if you look at a picture. anyway, the dough is flexible unless it suffers an impact. the pads are really comfy, stay where they are when you're wearing them (which is a novelty for me as all the other pads i've tried have slipped down) and they seemed to protect me ok when i came off in the alps this year (a few times......)

compared to other brands they're well priced too!

they also make some where it's just the VP dough and no hard shell, these may or may not be better for what your after, but as a company i'd not heard of much till i tried the pads out, i'm impressed!

oh i have the bone arms too, they fit fine, but i haven't worn them much yet so don't want to comment on them. all the stuff seems well put together.

hiya - vpd comments for you
a) well its not heavy/you dont notice it being anymore heavier than you would expect body armour to be
b) i managed to make mine white with salt every day in the alps indicating to me that sweat was coming through them just fine
c) it gives good protection certainly. mates of mine 'tested' its efficacy on numerous occasions!
value for money... hard to answer that. it's a lot of money. going up in 2010 too and once again, stock will be extremely limited so the price is unlikely to fall. the rep asked me to re-align my expectations when i placed the 2010 order... it wasnt even that much. you would have to decide of you want to spend the money really, it's cheaper than an accident for sure.

I've got a pair of their padded shorts, good fit, comfy, not a huge difference to the 661 bombers they replace (padding in slightly different places). Only reason I replaced the 661's is because I've got too fat 🙁

Mate has a pair of poc gloves, they are really nice, but at £55 they are a bit of a piss take.

Overall imo - good, slightly better quality than 661, get what you pay for.

I bought the bone legs in the alps. Thought they were amazing very comfortable (for armour), didn't move around too much and seemed to offer lots of protection. I used them for a few peaks rides and some DHing in the UK after I got back, then bought some 661 Kylie straights. I haven't used the POC's since. Not sure what that says, probably just that they're good, but too much protection for most of my riding. I'll only reach for them now if I'm going DHing somewhere loose and rocky.

They make fantastic kit, the articulation in the leg armour is just superb. I've got the Bone arms myself, they look a bit extreme and downhilly but they're also the most comfortable, least sweaty arm armour I've ever used.

I have a Spine VPD Tee and Bone armour and it's the most comfy body armour I've ever worn. The VPD moulds to your body and stays put unlike my previous Dainese, Knox and 661.

It's more expensive that it's competitors, but I'd say it's worth it based upon fit and comfort.

Next stock isn't due into the UK until late March though, so unless you can source some from european skiing shops, then you'll have a wait to buy some in the UK and I'm guessing a lot of the stock is already on pre-order.

We have some.... mainly small for the joints but we have more sizes in spine vest. Website is up to date with stock info so you can have a peak if you need more info. As the other dude says, more due in March.

ace stuff. i've got the bone knee/shins and the freeride gloves.

expensive but worth it. gloves are the best riding gloves i've ever had and have lasted longer than any pair ever has. showing no major signs of wear either.

if they made helmets in sizes other than pinhead I've probably have one of the full-facers as well.

I have the joint soft knee pads. They are really comfy and stay up. The work better than any of my knee warmers, so i used them like that in the spring. once the dough warms up they fit even better. Also got some bone arm pads. As said above, they look a bit 'rad' for me, but once riding (i used them for riding at whinlatter all day in the rain) they are only noticeable by the extra warmth they give. I bought a cheap Royal jersey and under that they are not noticeable. Not fallen off on either set yet though.
Not the cheapest, but the fit is fantastic.

Have the shorts. They're OK. Fit is a little strange. Mine are a small - the short bit is fine, but the leg grippers are WAY too tight, even on my pigeon legs.

The first time I came off wearing them I also managed to ladder the white meshy stuff, and some of the stitching is going. I also ended up with a monster haematoma in my thigh,so I'm slightly dubious. That said it was a HELL of a crash,so they might have saved me a broken leg.

I'm still after a Receptor Flow in xtra melon head if you're going to be getting more in?

I must be a biffer as well as I couldn't even get the VPD knees over my.... erm knees.

we will have more... just when they get them to us is the question.

send us an enquiry through the site and we will log it and let you know when they come in. you can decide then if you want one or not.
Remember you can always get it ordered and if its the wrong size just send it back - the joy of mail order!

used the POC VPD Knee Pads for the first time on saturday in minus five temperatures and they managed to keep my knees very warm indeed

sizing is a bit tight though with the large, i don't really need the velcro straps at all - i did try for a laugh to put on my mates size small ones on but i couldn't get them past my calf muscles 😀
