Okay, I suspect there won't be many, but I'd love to see some photos of mountain bikes with horizontal top tubes...

Thanks - that's great. Those Ritchey bikes are lovely.

Just curious - has anyone bought, or had custom-made, something like that in recent years? I have an image of a bike in my head. I think it has skinny steel tubes, raked forks, 29er wheels, and maybe a longer head-tube. Perhaps it's based on old bikes from the beginning of the MTB era, but I can't recall what they were - maybe Peugeot or Muddy Fox? Of course it would probably be hopelessly impractical and a death trap.

I rode strathpuffer on a singular peregrine with flat bars.

That ticks all your criteria i think?
