Trying to fit a Superboost GX crankset onto a Boost 148 frame and keep a 52mm (ish) chainline.
The default chainline with that chainset is 56.5 and SRAM advises as follow:

Can I do the following instead:
- Fit the 4.5mm outer spacer to the drive side and therefore get a 52mm chainline
- Fit x1 2.5mm inner spacer to the NDS as well as a 7mm outer spacer to the NDS
I end up with 14mm worth of spacers rather than the the recommended 13.5mm.
Will it work? Anything I have missed?
Might be more reliable to just fit a 6mm (non-Boost) offset chain ring rather than 3mm? Assuming SB still use 3mm offset rings. The spacers are designed to click into the bottom bracket, so installing one next to another will presumably throw out your calculations.ย
