[#1685587]

Which is the stuff to get? Do I need more than 1 type? Its for a new hardtail build, so BB, pedals, hubs, seat post etc, basically the whole bike.

What say the STW pros?

Ta muchly ๐Ÿ˜€

Copper grease for threads - BB, bolts etc

Waterproof grease eg Silkolene RG2 for bearings

general grease for seatpost etc eg Castrol LM or similar.

cheep'n'cheerfull moly or lithium will do the job.

You can get 5 or 6 different types and do it 'properly' but its really not worth it unless you find problems.

Mine only comes in 4 flavours: red, white, copper or special blue stuff. Red get used almost everywhere.

RG2 on pretty much everything. It resists washing off and is used on moto crossers, so is pretty good for MTB conditions.

I use other types too but only coz I got loads in the shed. But RG2 if you only want to buy 1 type.

Thanks guys, appreciated.

Where do you guys get your Silkolene RG2 Pro from? Online shops want as much postage as the item itself, I'm also unfamiliar with the shops in question!

Thanks again ๐Ÿ˜€
