Going for a riding stag do to Innerliethen, does anyone know of a good guide for the area for a full days riding for about 6 of us?
Cheers John.
What sort of riding?
TBH I'd maybe suggest booking on an uplift, and then just chat to folk on the bus to get pointed at the various trails. Or just explore yourself...
Most folk are friendly and happy to offer advise on trails tho!
Is Innerleithen the same as Glentress or different? And does Inners really do uplifts? I'm drooling.
And does Inners really do uplifts?
I certainly hope so ๐

Sorry have to pass this time, need to save me holidays (however could probably get away with one day's holiday as I live in Newcastle).

Same valley, different place. Inners is more DH trails etc (though there is an XC loop) GT is trail centre XC. Nothing too hard at inners, but of course that's all relative to your skill level!
There's some good natural stuff too, again, no need for a guide if you can read a map/follow some directions.
Tully and co do the Uplift weekends with Uplift Scotland. www.upliftscotland.com
Andy Weir at Ridelines does guiding I think ?? www.ridelines.co.uk
Where are you staying ? I think some of the accommodation providers will take you out on the bikes as part of the deal- Andy and Aneela at Innerhaven say so on their website anyways.
Give Steve Deas a ring at i-cycles, he knows the hill like his it's his back yard and could probably sort you a guide out.
