With very thin or no real padding to speak of (definitely no gel), a big sweat wiping patch and that will last. Budget around £20 or so, preferably I can buy online today!
My Specialized Team Air Waves I have used for years are finally falling apart.

spesh bg gel ones about 30 quid, my god they comfy! no more full finger for me for the summer!
got em from evans in the winter sale 😆 (summer mitts) in advance, for 20quid delivered! i would pay 30 for them though too!
