I'd really appreciate any thoughts on the following, thanks guys.
I ride a Specialized Rockhopper Pro and have been upgrading its components over the last couple of years to withstand the Scottish trails. Only the frame to go.
Heres what's on it:
Fork: Rock Shox Reba XX Post Mount
Wheels: Mavic 719s on Hope Pro IIs (Red)
Brakes: Avid Juicy 3
Groupset: Shimano SLX
Bars: 720mm Blackspire Risers (Blue)
Headset: Cranecreek S8
My (daft) questions are as follows:
I've just bought some SLX Disc brakes to replace my old Avid Juciy 3s. Before I fit them I'd like to upgrade the old 160mm front rotor to 180mm for more grunt, along with some bling.
I think I'd just need a mount adaptor which mounts a 74mm post mount caliper (i.e. Hayes, Avid, SLX etc) to a 74mm post mount fork (i.e. my fork ) to accomodate a 180mm rotor.
However I see Hope have a great 183mm rotor.

Will the SLX brake take the Hope 183mm rotor if I fitted the Hope 183mm adaptor ? I think shimano deal in 160, 180 and 203 sizes.

I'd like to pimp the new brakes with some coloured hose and connector kit like below.
Would the following fit my new brakes.

Question 4.
Whats are bore caps? I see some posts on here about replacing them.
