[#315457]

Just thought i'd put up a few photos from the past few outings in my mate's woods. The place is sweet, superflowy tracks, greasy limestone, greasy greasy roots and lots of flat out!good training and blasting potential for sure. Defiantely gonna see if it can help my enduro training this year!

So here are the first few curtousy of Tristan - one of the local Lake District pinners and handy with a camera. First 3 are of me and will load up more when I find them on the net.

Nice, looks like a fun spot.

Who did the bike used to belong to? Steve or Josh?

Anytime. Nice shots by the way. I wish I had some decent action pics of myself, something to show the grandchildren.

A pinner is someone who partakes in aggressive xc.

No, you're getting confused with endurists. A pinner is a someone who shreds the gnar.

Is a pinner who shreds less or more radical than a rad freerider?

That depends whether or not the freerider is sending it, but generally speaking you cannot actually be a freerider unless you're proficient in the art of gnar shredding.

and yes a pinner is a shredder, think brendan fairclough'esque having fun ripping it up! and in my eyes a pinner is radder than a freeride sending it!

....you know how the other forums give you a 'status' based on how many posts/threads etc?
Perhaps we should ask for that here. along the lines of:

pootler
skds 'n' kerb dropper
razzer
shredder
sender
pinner
huckmeister
and so on...

I'm off to SDH now to tell them how freekin' radical my sick new line is.

Nice photos btw.
That's all i do inbetween the odd race these days; make little trails in the woods and arse about on them. Top.

I only recently found out the origin of the term 'pinning it'.

It's the face look like it be lightened up and going by the light source adds to that.

Yeah guessed that but the light just seems wrong as main source is to the left and slightly behind him, it may well not be photoshopped but it looks like it is. As I say the face looks like it's be lightened to highlight it.
