I just noticed this morning that there seems to be a lot of sideways movement in my rear hub on my commuter road bike.
There have been some strange loud cracking noises coming from the bike over the last few months and havnt been able to diagnose it, mainly when going over rough ground.
went to check my tyre pressure this morning and noticed that the whole wheel seems to wobble from side to side.
So is my hub/freewheel gubbed? i only just replaced it last winter too.
Ps is it safe to ride home?

Id say be careful. Avoid heavy hits and take a good look at it over the weekend.
Sounds like the races are borked. If its sealed bearings then you may be ok. If its cup'n'cone you may have more serious issues.
