OK, bike all set up correctly, all bolts on brake calipers tight (check), all rotor bolts tight (check) however, when I have the rear brake locked out there is still a mm or 2 of movement which causes the bike to shudder when brake applied.
What have I forgotten to do / need to do?

Does the wheel move when the brake isn't applied?? FS or HT?
it sounds like there is movement in the pads in the caliper's
are they a diffrent brand from what you normally use??
that would be my 1st port of call
what hubs? i've found shimano hubs need tightening occasionally to stop serious play developing.
if you are running larger disc on the back it could still be the hubs.
Check hub axel for play (take wheel off the bike).
Check mounting bolts and as above pad movement.
