I'm hoping to make a trip to Afan at the end of the month, not been before. I want to try the new bike park area. Is it possible to do a route that includes this? A friend who is coming isn't very fit, so we can't be doing the 44km routes, we literally might die.

Can anyone recommend a fun route that includes the bike park? Or should we just session the bike park? Suggestions please!

Bikepark is at the top of the wall trail, so it's easy to do both

I like the wall, was my fav trail when I first rode there. Cafe for cakes n stuff up the top of the hill by the bike park too, then down the bottom for more cakes. You can't lose!

Unless you don't like cake. In which case you already lost.

Afan is great. What is it like with drainage at this time of year? And is whites level still closed?

Bike park is fun. About 6 or so tracks there at the moment. I'd suggest you park at Ryslyn car park, do the Wall ( ignore the bike park when you come out of the 'Graveyard' section of the wall.. Then Drive up to Ton Mawr and park at the bike park, have a brew and cake , then session the small routes in the park for a while.... followed by more tea n cake ๐Ÿ˜‰

The Wall is back up and running after several months of maintenance. It now has some new bits which have only managed to add to the fun. Drains well too.... the place to go when the weather is foul. Hot showers at the Afan car park too ๐Ÿ™‚
