[#11864532]

I seem to have buckled the fulcrum wheels that came with my planet X Tempest, so thought I'd treat myself to some Hunt Wheels I've heard mentioned on here.
Anyone know the size to ask for, I'd imagine the 4 season range is the way to go.
Thanks

I have recently done similar. I ordered a pair of Scribe wheels - the Race-Ds at £370, which were ever so slightly heavier than the lightest Hunt alloy wheels but I didn’t have to wait until September 🙂

Currently pondering whether to order some Chinese carbon rims as a replacement to the ones on the Fulcrums......

Sounds good - what is the sizing?

Erm.... sizing?

The ones I got are 700’s, internal width 19mm, external 24, rim depth 26mm, 12mm axle front and back.

I didn’t specify rear hub width (couldn’t anyway) but it’s 142mm.

Does that help?

yes it does - thanks for that. Going to try and do it myself - should be fun.

I'm running the Hunt 4 Season on my Tempest, trouble free for the last 2000 miles, they were previously on another bike so I can attest to their longevity. You'll need 142x12mm rear and 100x12mm front.

Running Hunt aero light on mine. Been faultless tbf, although in hindsight I'd maybe have gone with something a little wider

I looked at Hunts but no stock at the time. Wanted a wider rim for some 42mm gravelkings I'd chosen for riding the King Alfreds Way (in 3 weeks, very excited!). Ended up with a set of WTB i23 KOM on Superstar hubs during one of their 30% off sales.

They're not light but I have zero worries about them dealing with the extra bike packing weight and my rubbish line choice. Also very cheap!

I do keep looking for a light wheelset for it tho.

Maybe check out Ryan Build Wheels for some hand builts for around the same price:

I have a set of 700c Aero Bomber and 650b Factotum Gravel and they've been superb and the team are great to deal with.

Good ideas there. Bit surprised that the fulcrum's buckled so easily on first blowout.
