its a bit bizarre how you are so pleasant on the phone yet enjoy raising the issue in every single thread relating to anything to do with on-one

Middle class keyboard warrior innit.

With our operating system the aptly named khaos control
GET.IT.SORTED!!!
FFS - how many cock-ups does it take - or are you happy to ride on the back of the "man in a shed" image forever?

It was more of an in-joke with Woody as I thought he had some West Coast of Scotland connections.

West? WEST?? 🙄

Fair enough the OP posting what he did IMO, he's obviously tried sorting it out first and not had much joy given the refund was still outstanding.
Also fair play to Dave for posting about the situation, I thought it was a useful explanation rather than fobbing off with excuses. Sure it sounds like their IT systems need an overhaul but they're addressing that to (although getting a bespoke system written from scratch rings alarm bells...).

Wow - so PX are the marmite bike co to the mtb world as much as to the triathlon world!! I have mixed experiences - good clothing at good prices, frustration at web site (is it in stock is it not etc), shame that the Ti tri bike never came to light...

I respect Dave for coming on here and explaining the reasons for the OPs problems but also have sympathy with druidh's comments. There does come a time, when these excuses start to wear thin and a company frankly needs to grow up and get its ops sorted. Otherwise, people will simply conclude, yes nice guys trying hard and competitive products and pricing but really why bother with the potential/real aggro!

So c'mon Dave - get it sorted and you will avoid this kind of bad publicity and marmite image.

My only tip would be, stop inventing new bikes, start making some of the current ones. Carbon Race 29er in 21" and the return on the Ti Inbred please! 🙂

The returns department were definitely monkeys too! Everything gets bounced their way too eagerly as well, even when that's not what you're asking for.

I like them though, their only failing seems to have come from their success, will definitely buy more bits.

Don't down-play yourself J-Dawg.

You're more than that to me. Much more...

Have you taken any orders/charged credit cards yet? I think that is what this thread is about.

It's not the same computer you use for the audit is it?

😉

Just to say a little something here.

I think its good to see that planetx/oneone are at least making some effort in posting here on the forums and trying to give a reson why they didnt have stock when you ordered, many companies wouldnt even bother making any comment and just let you spend hours on hold.

so i think they get some brownie points there....

p.s Audits are a pain to do, and unless you have a very smooth accounts department every company has issues running up to and through them.

Good stuff. Any Ti Inbred 29ers ever likely to resurface? 🙂

Like a few others have said, the OP shouldn't have had to post on here to see the start of a resolution.

Would have seen a quick resolution by simply being persistent when phoning, ensuring you're talking to the right guy in charge and state what you will be doing if the issue is not corrected.

In the UK the credit card company are partly responsible and have to provide a refund and chase up the supplier. So contact them if you're not getting luck with the retailer. Matter then is out of your hands and you have your money back.

Failing that, small claims.

It wouldn't have come to that though.

Does anyone think the boss of tesco, or CRC or even wiggle would care if they made a mistake??? Me thinks not...."
But then, they don't seem to make as many mistakes....

Classic 😆

Though CRC's main problem is less their mistakes but just inability to get stuff out the door "same day" as promised.

To be fair, I've rarely ever heard of issues with On-One/Planet X. Where there are mistakes they are usually sorted out quickly and pleasantly.

Anyway, end of the day, there's been a mistake, refund offered (received now?), a detailed explanation provided even though it's not required, and a good insight into the issues of running a relatively small business like this compared to the big guys like CRC.

And besides... it's always Wiggle's fault 😉

FWIW I work in a company with a warehouse of ~900 bays and 100,000 items, our annual stocktake took 4 days, during which no movements of stock was allowed.

We solved this problem though.

Now we stock take several bays every day, as long as we are better than something like 99.5% accurate in this then our audit consists of a random check of 5-10 bays and the data on the system is trusted. what used to take 4 days, now takes about 2 hours!

Stock taking the factory on the other hand........

Yep, easily resolved, bad advice from auditors/accountants imo
