Following the recent thread I've just popped into my local Evans to see if they had one in stock, and handily, they had a large, which I would have thought would be too big. I'm 5'9" with a longer torso and stubby 31" inside leg, usually ride mediums.

Only had a quick sit on it in the shop, but the large felt a good fit, but there was barely 2 inches of seatpost showing and it looked all wrong. Anyone got any experience of how the large and medium size up for real people?

I'd ride a L, I'm 6ft / 34" leg. It's not a really long bike for me but I think the L would be a bit big for most riders at 5'9".

I'm actually just over 5'9, but the cut off between large and medium is showing as 5'10. I am forever in between sizes! I suspect I'd be better with a shorter top tube and more seatpost, then I'd look less like a shortarse trying the latest niche.....

Thought so, just so surprised the large felt alright. Wasn't sure if it was a 29er quirk
