Wheels apparently are heavy and it's the best upgrade for the bike.

Good set of disc rims needed?

I'd check the weight, or have a look at the Arkose thread, the stock wheels may actually be reasonably light at 1800g. You'd be spending a lot to save not much weight and lose some versatility if the replacements aren't as tough.

I wondered about this, but I like the bombproof nature of the wheels, so I'll stick with them for a bit.

Well, I've been reading a review of the bike and the guy mentioned about how bad the wheels were but I don't get the bike until next weekend to see how they compare to my whyte Suffolk I've just sold. (Wheels way a ton but solid)
