so I'm going to service my forks and have noticed that they are some snazzy blue skf seals. Are these worth the extra over the standard rockshox ones?

more a green than blue I'd say. Worth it over cost on RS only you can judge that. I use SKF never had any reason to stop.

I think Rockshox use SKF seals as standard now.

I always think if I'm going to the trouble why not for the small difference.

I fitted some and other the colour I can't tell the difference. In my mind though, they must be better cos they said they were and that means a lot...

The standard seals are now SKF dyed black, the green are the same product

Well worth investing in a digital Vernier caliper if you haven't got one, I always strip my forks first, measure the seals then buy the best dual lip seal I can from a bearing supplier at a fraction of what the fork manufacturers charge. I always try and get SKF seals, and SkF or FAG bearings, but simply bearings own brand seals have been fine in the past too when they're all that's available.

Got skf ones for my Lyriks recently. In my mind they feel slightly plusher but that could be because I’ve tweaked the rebound slightly or the placebo feeling from new seals and having painted my forks lowers red to replace the black! They were a couple of quid more then the genuine Rockshox ones from TF Tibed and more importantly they were in stock. The RS genuine ones weren’t.

They aren’t blue they’re a full green - can’t say I like the look of them but once they’re muddy I won’t notice.

I think there are some ‘enduro’ blue seals somewhere I’ve seen when looking that might be what you’re thinking of. Claim to seal as well but be ‘slippier’

Yea Green.

I've had mixed reports about the enduro ones.

I'd be interested in a link to the type of lipseal your buying as I often have custom lipseals made for me which increases cost a lot.
