I've noticed over the last couple of rides that the rebound on my Pike RCT3s has been getting a little uncontrolled. Had a few proper 'moments' today when I pinged off rocks completely wrong and ended up adding another click more damping to calm things down (haven't touched the set up other than this, except for air pressure checks, in the last 6 months).
First guess was that the damper was leaking (again), but having pulled it out the fork there's no obvious cavitation or other evidence of oil loss.
The damper was last serviced (and tuned) by TF about 6 months ago. It's done a fair few mile since then - is it possible it's just the oil breaking down? Or something else?
(I've done at least one lower leg service in the intervening time, but generally do dampers about once a year)
Thoughts & ideas please!
Thanks.
Id would have said Dampner leaking but youve covered that ,only saying that as mine are back with Fishers because they were leaking and acting up ๐
Increase in temperature changing the oil viscosity? Just a guess mind.
