Did a lower leg service on my Pike Rc's. Everything is backbas it should but the travel has extended from 130mm to 140mm. Its free travel but something has happened 🤔

Surely on the newer ones (?2016ish?) it's only an air shaft change that can increase the travel. Maybe they were always a 140 fork but had sucked down 10mm, and your service has remidid this?

Yeah, if it’s the newer style I’m pretty sure that’s impossible if you’ve got the foot nut screwed in correctly. If it’s the older style I think there are spacers or u-turn to adjust the travel?

Does it top out harshly? My money's on the negative air chamber not being properly charged yet, cycle it a few times & it'll return to normal.

They do seem a bit toppy. Would the negative air chamber not filling cause this ?

Have you changed to a debonair airshaft of the same travel ? Or was it purely a service.

Did you inflate in stages and cycle the forks each time?
May be too much grease and it's blocking the transfer port?
I had the opposite on my Yari's where I was 10mm short on travel - this was grease blocking the port.

Just got back from a ride and their still the same. It's exactly the opposite to sucking down. Air can't be getting into the negative chamber. I'll try the putting air in stages thing, if not I'll have to pull the uppers apart as well.
