Just out of interest, what do the wavy washer and support washer do in the Pike air spring?

The support washer fits against a shoulder in the bottom of the fork leg. The wave washer sits on the support washer and acts as a spring, keeping the air shaft guide pushed tight against the snap ring.
(You have to push against the wave washer to move the airshaft guide out of the way when you remove the snap ring.)
