I don't normally do this, and as a shop, it's a terrible ask. However, I got a white ASR-5 in for a demo (basically my!) bike, and a customer bought it (how dare they do that?!). So I got another white one in. However, I'm now starting to think I should have got a blue one or black one in.
Anyone got any pics? I saw a black one on here that looked nicer than I had thought it would but the blue looks quite cool (if a little girlie).
Stick with the Black and White ones, they sell well. The Blue less so.
Stu has a Blue one - ask him to send you some pics anyway.
But stick with the simple ones... it's not Yeti blue and as such it aint right. 8)
I know, I'm all about the Yeti colour of choice but it's not available on the ASR-5! (apart from a wee flash on the whites and blacks). Thanks for the advice. Perhaps black will do the trick after all and the white can be sold. Of all the things we have to do, this is the least but this is more fun.
Forge197 - what's the deal with the size of the loop of cable on the rear mech? I only ask because I'm just finishing off my asr5 build and I know in the manual it says be sure to leave enough to allow for the suspension but I wasn't planning on leaving that much?
localhero94 - these are shakedown ride pictures, and I had what can only be called "cable creep" which was happening on compression of the suspension the cable would gather at the rear, so I left a "normal" amount at the rear mech and then a small wrap of black gaffer tape to fatten the gear outer around the bits that goes in the cable guides this stopped cable creep and it doesn't look like that now.
Also it now has a black hose and a new caliper up front to match the rear and black cable ties for the sensor on the fork.
Might take some new pictures this weekend when I am out and about.
Blue is pretty sweet. I demoed the customer's bike last night, which is totally backwards but fun nonetheless. I found it to be waaay too small for me - I'm 5'11" and was on the medium. I would definitely need a large. Even though I was mostly petrified on it, I got an idea on how amazing it would be if it wasn't like a child's bike underneath me.
