Rode last year and loved it. Lap 1 was a bit slippy as I recall, but least it was all perfectly rideable. thank god we didnt enter this year. I only live an hour away, where can I get a box of 1000 mechs at short notice?

Looking at some of those photos it is not as bad as I thought it would be. Definitely a year for mud tyres though.

I'm so glad I'm never going to bother doing THAT again!

There are really bad bits, but most of it is ridable.

The horror, the horror.

I went down to watch, course looked awful in parts but seemed to be drying up. The mud was proper claggy by the time I left.

The atmosphere was good and most the riders seemed to be enjoying themselves

We had one get blown over at an event when a squally storm blew in. That was not pleasant at all - wouldn't believe how far the sh** could travel. £150 extra clean up fee added to the tab for that too. Least the farmer wasn't too upset.

Looks like a "fun" clag fest there though.

First Mayhem I've ever missed. In an odd way, I'm sorry that I'm not there. I do love a good moan about the mud 🙂 And once you're out, it's never THAT bad...

Top marks to Flooksie, he wins the crown for going to all of them, though I think Nick Wallis is still secretly the winner.

I wish I was there for the racing. But it's going to be horrendous getting out of there later!
I had he option of taking part is year, but as I have an Iron distance tiathlon next weekend I had to say no! :o(
