Is it an xl and when will it be advertised in the classifieds 😉
Does look tasty, I briefly got fizzing but decided I'll stick with what I have.
enjoy oh and ride it!

It is an XL.
Not before its paid off, so at least 12 months from now! 🙂
Very nice.
Quote a rising rate by the look of it? I am well out of date with suss designs.
Nice looking bike. Enjoy!
🙂
Looks great! very nice for an XL!
Nice piece of kit that. Enjoy and hope the back holds out!
Very nice now go get it dirty
Wheels are too small.
Nice painted brickwork though
Looks grand! I've got a 2014 Sight 7.2. Great value, looks good and sweet to ride.
Very nice sod the wife ,bet this gives you more fun per £

?
They are 27.5 / 650b - is that not the fashion? 😉
That. Looks. Awesome!
Looks great 8)
Thanks one & all! 🙂
Is it the headtube junction she objects to?
Very nice ride Sir. I notice you've changed the saddle, selling it? 😛
Is it the headtube junction she objects to?
No, she actually loves that bit.
I did indeed change the saddle & grips.
Both for sale.
A snip at £3k (for both obviously & including P&P)

Looks great apart from the cable spaghetti, did the shop allow it to leave like that? You could shave...ooh, whole grams off with shorter cables
Yeah, they are a bit long, especially the Reverb & gear cable.
Dunno if they would be willing to shorten them when I take it back for a once over in 4 - 6 weeks?
Nice looking bike that, how does it ride ?
Cheers. Really nice.
It is ridiculously plush.
My last 2 bikes have been steel 29ers & I'm loving the rear end.
It doesn't seem to bounce like I felt my Nomad did, but this might be due to the shock & damping?
Just love it in every way.
Today's ride wasn't a great test for it, but it was rougher than the local cycle path 🙂
A trip to Laggan is happening soon tho....
You need to stop spitting your chewing gum out over the path young man.
(Nice bike BTW)
Very nice indeed
op / any other owners I have been looking at cheaper model of this as one of many new bike options.
What's the normal / intended type of trails you will ride on? I am just trying to gauge if it's going to be overkill most of the time more from a perspective of pedalling it up hill with some pretty fit riding companions on a bit more xc focused kit.
I will mainly be riding Glentress, Innerleithen, Laggan & Comrie Croft on it.
Once a year we have a boys holiday & ride Dalbeattie, Mabie, Kirroughtree & Ae.
Don't think it's overkill for that sort of stuff.
I've come across folk on DH rigs many times on these trails.
As long as we are all having fun & getting out riding! 😀
Cheers for that. Sorry wasn't suggesting you would be overbiked if it came across that way.
I am just thinking about buying my first fs bike for over a decade and the choice is bewildering so getting a handle on how /what people are using the bikes for in the real world is reall handy .
No bother.
What sortof riding will you be doing on whichever bike you choose?
Giz a go??
Sorry but the whole rear axle / drop out area looks like a big orange mess.
Each to their own.
Giz a go??
Ya cheekyget.....
I find it weird that everyone goes on about how immense value the YT Capra is, if you get Evans at the right time they are doing 15% off the Norco Sight and Range, + interest free credit for a year. I got a Carbon Range 7.1 in Jan, full XX1, Guide RSC, DT Hubs and Flow EX rims, CCDBA CS and Pike DPA forks, Race Face carbon bars, all in all an amazing bike for 4 grand, and for me a match in value for the Capra as well, plus with interest free credit I feel like I'm getting it free!
Only minor issue for me was cable rub in 2 places: rear brake cable on upper stay, and rear mech cable over bottom bracket, where there was a frame protector but the cable was running inside it and rubbing the frame. I found it before it had done much damage but would suggest having a look and getting some extra frame protection, I went with the Lizard Skins carbon leather stuff which seems to be working well.
I agree, the spec is phenomenal for the money.

Thanks for that, will check it out.....
The more I look at this the more tempted I am! What height are you? Wondering if XL would be the right one for me or if Large would do….
Would you want a DPA on that bike when you can't adjust it with tokens if required? I have DPAs and they're good, but after riding a full sus with no DPA it feels like it's an unrequired feature and the tunability is worth having over the adjustable travel.
The Norco looks really nice. I was looking at one of them, but long wait times and rumoured problems with the rear triangle put me off. The Range for 4k in their current sale does look like one of those "wouldn't change a thing" bikes. Well, except for the DPAs!
Also, the Sight is 140mm? YT's comparable offering is a 160mm isn't it? Slightly different, but still great value in the sales!
groundskeeperwilly:
I'm 6' 3" with long legs & shortish arms.
Comparable bike to Capra would be the Range. Spec for price similar to Capra (better in some ways).
DPA's are great, but only with Tokens in. I use the shorter travel for really steep climbs and find it very useful. Custom bottomless tokens available from Maverick suspension. Without them I might have considered changing to Solos. I find them perfect with 2 tokens and I'm only 65kg.
Very nice bike..
Did it come with the magic Mary and Hans dampf? Never seen that combo before. Imagine the magic Mary is a bit slow in the dry?
Cheers 😀
It did indeed come with HD / MM rubber.
Can't say for sure, but it has felt fine the few miles I've done so far.
The MM has a very deep, chunky tread!
Gonna leave it as is just now, see how it goes....
Sorry to hijack OP.
@andylc
We're about the same weight. How much did the tokens set you back? Did you have to send them in for fitting?
Thanks for the info - I'm 6ft2 with short legs and long torso so not sure which one would suit best between the L and XL!
