Looks good that - how soft was Hare Hill Steve? Might be tempted to include it tomorrow morning if it's resilient enough.
Nice Bfe too...

Not bad at all - a little soft in places but nearly all rideable. I'd expected worse - last time I used that track was a few winters back and it was a quagmire.

I was thinking about continuing west along the ridge to the Borestane (which can also be wet) but it was straight into the wind.

Plenty of trees on the way home from there:

BFe is of course massive overkill for the Pentlands!

nice bike

'Tis indeed. It's getting closer to the final spec now with a change to Pike's from the 55r's that were in that photo which saved a bit of weight. Still need to decide what forks to get for it though - possibl an air fork to lose a little more weight and get it closer to the 30lb mark (it's 30.9lb at the moment).

How's the lightweight Soul build working out?

Doing Ok just under 24lbs with the 355's and Nobby Nic/Racing ralphs on it.

more suited to my level of skill and size of my gonads ๐Ÿ˜†

I believe that bfe is the one that took me to my wedding (was overkill for that too)!!. Did you get it from vortexracing guy? Glad it's looking happy and well loved. Sadly it was too long for me.... I hate selling bikes! Might have to invest in the new xs one.

Nice pics!

It's a small. My Soul is a medium but I think the BFe suits being a bit shorter.

It is indeed that one. I hate selling bikes too, which is why I have a pile of spare frames in the back corner of my garage. I think the BFe is a keeper though - still trying to decide on it's final spec though.

Nice pics stanfree. I've not ridden that cheeky wee trail - I didn't know it existed until it made an appearance on the pics from one of the TBC rides. I've not been through Dens Cleugh for ages so must do so soon.
