Phones.....they're for talking to people who also have phones right?
While you will never get the clarity and light quality you can get with a dslr, now and again you get a picture with your phone that you are really impressed with, or you just love as its full of a good memory of good times without meaning to take any 'serious' photos.
Apps can also add a lot of character to a shot perhaps you didn't expect.
So show us your phone pics you are quite taken with...

Android phone using 'vignette' app- Woburn sands

Vignette app again-Prague

Retro camera app-grasshopper on mirror.

Nice results there.

Only ever point-n-shoot myself; was always disappointed with my last phones pics, until just about the last one taken before I changed it..

iPhone 4, some are stills taken from videos filmed on the phone whilst leaving it on a wall/fence/side of the trail as it's easier to pick the best shot! The one on the lake was taken by a mate but on my phone.

Okay - a little bit left-field but, for those that know me, I'm immensely proud and (finally) happy of the following grainy low quality picture...

IA thats truly great! I have a time lapse app that I have been meaning to play with.

Did you use a tri pod or just prop the phone up?
What sort of intervals did you find best?

The phone's an N8, using an app I wrote myself to take the pics, then compositing later in quicktime, editing in iMovie.

The intervals vary depending on the shot, some are as short as 5s, some are 10s. But then some of the clips are then decimated to speed them further, so end up longer than 10s between frames. In total the photos span 11hrs13mins worth, over different days though obviously (as it's all sun rise/set)

Sunset pan's in software, the garden pan is hardware

I'm pretty certain there are plenty other timelapse apps for the iPhone out there. Just search timelapse/intervalometer.

Doing too much app dev. at work just now to have any desire to do much in my spare time!

In case anyone is interested.
Here are iPhone 4 and Canon 40D (with Tamron 17-50) comparisons of the same scene.

Solstice 40D by tryingtimes, on Flickr

Both are processed to a point where I was happy they couldn't be improved. The iPhone shot was processed on the iPhone, the 40D shot was processed in Lightroom (and obviously had a lot more headroom).
