Hi all, just wondered if anyones done this, they seem like a better design than the purpose built phone mounts as your phone cant really pop out of them. Just wondered if there any problems with the idea, do they go tight enough for the stem? This will be on a road bike mainly so no doesnt need to be bombproof.
Mine barely tightens round my biceps and I am not exactly Konan.
Struggle to see how it wouldn't rotate round under gravity/vibration, no matter how much padding you put round the stem.
Would look a bit Heath Robinson/I'm unemployed, if that bothers you!
Anyone got any experience with purpose built bike mounts? Phones a Samsung Galaxy Y (Smaller cheaper version of the S), if that helps. Want to use the navigation function for longer unknown routes. Found a great app btw Osmand, lets you follow gpx routes made on bikely.
