[#3143331]

Hey guys,
Apologies if there's another thread started somewhere - despite a wee cold, the absence of spouse + child means it's the dry, dusty Autumn gold* of the Pentlands for me tomorrow night, hopefully... Anyone care to join in, likely a low-erosion ride given current conditions, sticking to stony type paths, maybe via green cleugh to see how repairs are faring. If it happens, usual 7-ish from't bonaly shop? Expect much grumbling on fitness loss, sleep loss, libido loss etc. etc.
Cheers, Rob.

*forecast says it's rather better tomorrow.

I might be up for it, had the lurgy for a week but feeling a bit more energetic. Dust would be nice! Libido chat less... ๐Ÿ˜€

I don't think its going to be dry until next May now. Except when it freezes!

Canny, got to pick up a hire car and cane the clutch/pull donuts/drive it at 80 in 2nd etc before a trip south on thursday.

Have fun though.

As onion states, it is very very damp.

Sorry Rob, can't make this, won't have a full set of lights till next week earliest and have a nicely swollen hand after a wee slip on the Grey Corries at the weekend... ๐Ÿ˜•

A man could get paranoid that he smells bad with this kind of result... ๐Ÿ™‚

Fear not, vulnerable ground will be avoided.

I'm going to try and make this but I have a bit of the lurgy and the bike needs a bit of prep. I'll should be at the shop for seven, I'll send a text if I'm coming but running a little bit late.

I'm looking after a bunch of Chinese students (been told to take them down to the beach before the tides and leave them to collect cockles, or something), so 'fraid I can't make it either.

Sorry Rob, won't be out to play tonight. Was up 2 weekends ago and it was pure filth, probably worse now. Will e heading to GT\inners until things dry out a little....if at all.

Trail repairs holding up very well and you can see that people have been using the sanitised ramp up the wee bridge. I gave it a jump or two and it felt solid.

Admittedly, tonights route probably won't be the most interesting, but I'm just wanting a couple of hours pedalling, keeping to the proofed trails 'n that. Should still get some decent climbing somewhere..

Its OK if Jeremy isn't going we can ride anywhere and do mad skids, phantoms, black hill, kips...

I might still make it, got a lot of work to do between now and then though so if I'm not there don't wait up.

Thanks for coming out last night gang - enjoyed the ride + pleased we found some element of excitement in tanking down overgrown Poets. Nice to have some burn back in the legs too.

Steven mentioned you'd done Poets - that answers the question I didn't ask about how it was at the moment. Hopefully it'll die back soon enough, and there are a couple more descents near there that would benefit from dead nettles....
