Any good camp sites in Penrith along the c2c route, any recommendations please?

There's
to the North East of Penrith and it has a pub opposite.
Not stayed there so can't comment on it but it's in the right place - on the way to Melmerby/Alston.

to the west of Penrith, there's a campsite at [url=
GILLHEADFARM.CO.UK Head Farm[/url], near Troutbeck on the A66 (where the C2C runs along the A66). I've never stayed there, but hear its quite god.
