I'd like to hear your views on the Pennine Bridleway -

Which bits are most interesting to ride?
Best places to stay?
How many miles a day for reasonably fit riders?
Best to go south to north?
Reliable (and cheap) companies that do transfers back to the start?

Thanks.

?? So long that there are good bits and bad bits all the way along I reckon. For instance some great bits on Mary Townly but also some v boring bits with loads of gates.

Best places to stay?

Bivi on a hill far away from anyone

I reckon two days for me for the lot. Be knackered but alive.

Best to go south to north?

I am going north to south but thats coz I live north and can then go down the country.

Trains? Not checked this out but reckon you should be fine if you do a weekend ride.

My plan for next weekend was start at Keighly after work then get to Pennine Bridleway near Hebden Bridge then go south. Camp out after dark then continue south in the morning. reckon I would get to at least Hope by Saturday afternoon then train back to Leeds
