I'm thinking of spending a few days riding this route from the Matlock end,is it a good ride?,would it be better to lightweight camp or cheap bed and breakfast?,any advice would be welcome,thanks.

I know the bit across the Dales, say from Gisburn up to Kirkby Stephen. Is a fantastic route.
I am a youth hostel, B&B, Bunkhouse, not-having-to-carry-a-tent man myself

Try www.arborlow.co.uk - it won a round of Ch4 4 in a bed. Niki does triathlon as well. It is more at the southern end (Parsley Hay area)
