Ok, so not actually when you're on the bike.
A friend I ride with seems to need to 'go' every half hour or so. I can't remember the last time I needed to (while on a ride). Thing is he drinks about half as much as me. I tend to think I'm pretty good about keeping hydrated: on a 4-5 hour ride I'll drink about 3-4 litres. My friend refills his 750ml water bottle once in that time.
Does dehydration make you pee more? Is there something wrong with me/him?

only that you're talking about weeing on a public forum
I always go for a slash after the first 20 mins or so then I am fine.
Maybe he's better hydrated before hand ?

You need a bigger problem to worry about

Probably. It's just one of those things that niggles away (like a dripping tap maybe).
When going for big rides I tend to fill up my camelbak, then get annoyed as its heavier then usual. I then drink more, and thus have to pee more.
When I drink less, I usually pee less. If your piss is a dark colour, you need to drink more. If your piss looks clean enough to drink, drink a little less.

i didn't need a wee for 7 hours yesterday whilst riding then done 4 wee's within 3 laps, and we're talking 'for gods sake just stop' wee's

81 miles today = 4h 53m - of that 20mins were spent stopping for a pee.
3 litres of water drunk during ride and then about 500ml after words.
2 LARGE pees since then too.
WOOOP!
He should learn to urinate without stopping.

If that's normal then I should probably be booking a prostate exam ๐ฏ
well, not 20mins of actual peeing. more like less than a min per pee...
didnt explain that too well. heh.
You should try being a woman. I need to go at least every hour on a ride.
It's worse if you're the only female on a group ride, finding a bush in the middle of nowhere is tricky.
Could be his saddle causing probs.
Best he gets checked by GP to check his lobes.
If i drink tea, i want to urinate quite frequently, the same with Lucozade sport.
Need to urinate frequently is also a sign of infection, prostate trouble usually affects men only from the age of 40 upwards.
i have the bladder of a hamster, its a running joke with cycling mates but i think secretly everyone likes havin a breather

Your better if pissing regular and often don't and you risk kidney stones. Then you'll not be laughing at your mate. Exercise increases the need to have a whazz.
