If you're getting Crank Bros pedals (more float, kinder to your knees, I prefer them) then DO NOT get the Smarty's... They are SHIT!

Get the Candy C's instead, only a tiny bit more expensive, but 10,000 times better built, and have a proper warranty with them, rather than the limited 12 month one you get with the Smarty's.

I've had a set of Smarty's, and they were pretty much worn out within 20 rides. I've got several sets of Candy's (one on each of 3 bikes) and they're superb, they just go on and on (well, maybe not quite as good as Shimano, but still...)
