Thanks thats ace - kind use of your time, I would ideally like a kit or from a manufacturer with some backup, the taps are £45 the pair and unbranded

Have you checked Cyclus from i-ride? I presume 2 Pure are out of stock of Unior?

Have you phoned JD Whisker? (They do VAR, but are old school, no website)

Ceeway are the cheapest if you are on a budget. Its just the reamer taps and inserts, unbranded.

I've got the taps and I think I bought a stepped shank bit when I did a pair of cranks.

Edit: sorry, your looking for a repair/helicoil/insert kit not the 9/16" taps?
