[#821142]

Booked a stay in Bakewell from Sunday and wondered if there are any rides I can hook up with from Monday onwards

Got some good suggestions from friends and a recommendation for the Dark Peak Mountain Biking: True Grit Trails book but thought it'd be good not to have to navigate for a ride or 2. Have car so not limited to Bakewell area

Really must get myself a GPS...

If you;re in bakewell, get the whitepeak book from VG rather than the Dark peak book: same publisher, but covers the area you're staying in. There's come excellent riding from Bakewell itself, the 5 dales loop is a corker

ROFL:

I enjoy a bit of everything riding wise. Currently in training for an overnight South Downs Way event but love more technical stuff as well. Haven't been to the Peaks since the last ORTP event around '03

The missus probably wouldn't be overjoyed if I set off on an epic all-dayer ๐Ÿ˜‰

nbt:

Cheers the for book advice - I'll have a look at both but sounds like White Peak might be more practical
