Right you 'orrible lot...
It's been a while, so how are you all fixed for another pootle? No discussions on route, no changes of time, date or any of that palava, just a typical pootle.
It's starting in Hayfield, here, at 10.15.
As always with a pootle, it's more social than pacey. We're a very welcoming bunch of folks so if it's your first ever 'big group' ride, come along. No need to be scared - it's all about having a nice ride with a friendly group rather than proving your mettle as previous pootlers will attest (I hope!).
We're starting at the Sett Valley Car Park, so bring change for parking and post ride beer/grub.
DATE: June 12th
TIME: 10.15am for 10.30am start
PLACE: Sett Valley Car Park, Hayfield
As always with the pootles over that side of the hills, Jules(nbt) will be devising a cracking route for us.

Nice one. Wish I could attend. Enjoy
TJ - you are most welcome if you can make it. And if it's a question of accomodation, I'm sure someone can put you up. It's only a couple of hundred miles to drive ;o)
I'm on for that if I'm around. You know you can park free up on Kinder Road, the one towards the reservoir. The SVT car park's a great starting point, but if you don't fancy stumping up three quid or so, you can always park up at the far end of Kinder Road and ride back down to Hayfield in about five minutes.
Just a thought and NOT an imperative. Or a change of starting point or owt like that. I don't really care for myself as I'll just ride over the hill from tropical Glossop anway.
Edit: backyard and a bivvy bag available for TJ on request ๐
you want a lift Chris?
cheers BWD - good suggestion. I'll still start from the car park though so people know where we're gonna be.
Fancied a Peaks ride for ages (never been) so I'm a maybe ๐
I'm alright cheers Podge - camping in Edale the night before anyway
I would be up for this, as in Sheffield that weekend as it goes, but only got a road bike at the mo.
Bugger.
Anyone fancy bringing a spare MTB?

Pootle mileage podge - 15 or so?
Anyone fancy bringing a spare MTB?
15 miles? Might run it ๐
as long as its Pootle milage not Chris in the lakes milage.
other ladies would be cool so she doesn't feel like she's at a sausage fest
last pootle was about 50:50
and it'll be jules' route so accurate (you cheeky sod)
We could be up for some more random tandem action if NBT and Bunnyhop are tandemeering too.
I'm in. My dad will be around too. Might ride over if i get organised. Kinder road would be a good idea actually, then i get food at the Sportsman afterwards.
Shall i let the Sheff uni people know?
anyone's welcome.
New job=free weekends=potential attendance here. Hopefully. I'll be able to skip mental grandma duty...
I'm in. ๐
Ok can I come, travelling from Lincoln, I dont know anybody off the forum face-to-face though. Im a sociable sort of guy and will be bringing my Green Butcher!
Forgot to mention Im 42 if if makes any difference!
Pook - just saw your answer. I will be on my way back from Italy. Next time maybe - I like riding in that part of the world.otherwise I would.

We're in, obviously. Tandem? Well, if we must :D. Not been out on it for a few weeks so it'll be a good excuse. Will have to check it'll fit in the car now it's got big forks
You might be able to borrow an angry bike if you want Jamie.
You could always ride to Hayfield jules?
Podge - Myself and Amanda (Mrs SSS)will be there.
Jules is talking about going down one of the best descents in the area (read steep) on the tandem = lots of screaming from me!!!
Which descent is that Bunnyhop?
Far Phoside.
OOOOO i've still not ridden that ๐ณ
That's because you've been going through Peep'o'day instead ๐
I know, but i should still have done it. I'm around this week if you're out?
Tomorrow any good, from our house at 10 a.m? Then going to Farmer Johns to watch the DH races.
I seem to be going through a bit of an MTB drought at the moment so will try to be there!!
Rachel
Think I may join you orrible lot again for this one ๐
Exciting downhill you say bunnyhop? You spoil me ๐
Got a recipe for " extra " Ginger , Ginger cake to inflict on any willing takers !
Bike's as creaky as my knees but why not ๐ Is it free to watch the DH?
You can ride stoker for Jules, Tom for excitement ๐
I'm in Lemans that weekend so will have to pass ๐
Yep Farmer John's is free for spectators.
