Always on a Saturday ๐Ÿ™ one of the joys of being in retail is that I can 100% guarantee I will be working ๐Ÿ™

I could well be interested in joining in, but it depends on 2 things! Firstly the state of my legs, I'm dong an Ironman distance tri 2 weeks before and secondly, actually having a bike for it! Planning a little purchase form OnOne early next month, but I need to get rid of the current bike! So I could be between steeds with trashed legs!
Where do these pootles normally start from?

We don't wear badges with names on but if you look closely, someone might have it as a sticker on their toptube. I think I've talked the Mrs into it. She's even rescheduling a hair appointment for it.

Flippinheckler - re how far people travel; we've had some folks come from Hampshire, Norfolk, Buckinghamshire....

That's not very far, last one I went to I drove down from a house party in Redcar at midnight and slept in the back seat and was frying up a bacon sarnie with another STWer from Devon the next morning, so they're well travelled!

@pook, I'm due to be away that weekend which is a shame as I still owe you a personal thank you for your route ideas.

The last Pootle I went on was a testing one (December11) where it rained cold and hard from virtually start to finish ๐Ÿ˜†

Do people wear labels stating their forum names?

Yeah, always. Night and day. Anyway, won't be able to make this as I'll be flying overhead in an aeroplane on the way back from sunny Deutschland. I shall try and spot you and wave frantically if they put us into a holding loop over the Peak...

someone might have it as a sticker on their toptube

"Someone" hasn't been on a Pootle for a while and due to it being Buxton Carnival that day (family BBQ, drinking etc), that someone isn't likely to be on this one either...

...unless of course I'm not the only one with forum name on top tube ๐Ÿ˜ณ

Can I come too please? Getting back on my bike again after a break (and too much cake) so save me a space at the back.

Don't know about that zesty. The back is a popular and busy place on these things.

even hora?

I'm not yet familiar with the legend that is Hora but will find out before the ride just in case it involves me having to bring pepper spray or my titanium chastity belt.

I think we should wear name badges, if only so that vic knows who to avoid....

You can be me if you like. Seeing as I won't be there. You can impress people with my gnar riding in absentia and keep up my reputation for being thoroughly disagreeable.

The stars/planets will have to align for me to get out for this... Need to sort a childminder and get home in time for a bit of black tie action in Manc later.
