Leading? Its a collective who all have the same objective. No rollcall, just turnup tomorrow if you feel like it tonight :).

Bring spare tubes and sunscreen.

Plus with the start time it wont be anywhere 37. I bet circa 10 max.

I haven't managed to read the whole thread but get the impression that there's a group riding from Edale tomorrow morning at 8:15 for 8:30. Is that correct?
Can I come?
Are you leaving Edale Pay and Display at 8:30 or Barber Booth layby at 8:30?
Is it expected to finish by around noon?

cheers

815am start from the Edale main carpark. Barber Booth parking is free. 8.15 to start - otherwise it'd be late back! The whole point is make the most of the morning so Dads/busy peeps can get back with enough of the day left for the rest of family/stuff-duties ๐Ÿ˜€

I'm in a Citroen C1/bike rack on roof.

Is it likely to be slow or at a decent pace?

This seems as good as place to ask, what would it cost to park in Edale for 3 hours?

...I assume it will be the main car park next to the visitors centre.

You also have to factor in the stop at the bottom of every descent, while someone plays around with rebound nobs and stuff, and moans about yet another set of forks not working properly ๐Ÿ˜€

It was a fiver for all day last week, pretty sure it went up in hourly increments to 4 hours.

Well, when it comes to covering ground quickly, think.....

In fact, Hora may be in a bathtub.

The only way they could get any slower would be if I was coming along ๐Ÿ˜€

And the Gods from Mojo said "lo there are forks arriving... And they are well and truly forked... And the warranty gods took great delight and lo from the east came fresh oil.. Seals and other technical thingamys a newbie may not name.. And in 3 days not seven it was good.

And then a voice from onzagod.. Onzadog's godly brother sayeth.. Thou is too fat and aggressive... Hast thou considered upgrading to 36's and this they saw it was good.

Top warranty tip:

Put a nice note in with your bike item and a few packets of really nice biscuits.

You'll find 'weeks' comes down to 48hours. It can be seen as bribery but it can also be seen as a thank you..

Edale.Jaggers.potato alley. cross snake. up past farm. screaming mile then dh. fairholmes. bastard podge climb. hagg farm berms. cross snake. upside of beast then back to edale.

The lad who rides a filing cabinet recommended doing the ride from fairholmes. I agree.

I am disappoint. Got to Edale carpark early, so didn't get to see STW heroes ride out. Hope you had a good one and you didn't get caught in the mist.

Ace ride today.

After lunch I carried on and went up to Hollins Cross, across the back of Mam Tor > Rushup Edge and then down Chapel Gate

A few photos...
