On Look North yesterday there was a long item about new voluntary MTB rangers who would patrol the National Park (they showed Ladybower area) to help people 'access routes'. Now, call me paranoid, but is this about monitoring cheeky use and attempting to restrict it? I remember being shouted at and threatened with bike confiscation by Rangers ,not sure if voluntary or paid, when riding cheeky. So should we be worried about this move or is it a step forward in protecting our interests in a very busy area?
