As the title really

A small group (4-6) of us travelling from Kent for a couple of nights next year (early summer).
Never been to that area before so at the moment i have no ideas of the best are to visit but thought that sorting out some accommodation would be a good place to start, preferably bike friendly and near some watering holes 😉

Edale YHA, nice and cheap, clean rooms, friendly staff, obviously bike friendly with lock up available.

Depends what you're after but if its camping I recommend Coopers campsite in Edale, which has an on-site cafe (full english £4ish) and a really nice pub opposite the camp site entrance that serves good food and beer 🙂

Puts you close to a mecca of local Dark Peak rides too.

Olde Cheshire Inn at Castleton is nice.
Not the cheapest but a good nights kip and quite central to some awesome riding.
Good YHA at Bakewell, Edale and Hathersage.

Stay in that Manchester, drive out to the Peak District?

Road transport is fairly well developed in the North West, allowing you the opportunity to stay anywhere within a 20-30 mile radius of where you will be riding.

The Yorkshire Bridge inn gets my vote. bike friendly pub with food, (huge portions) and an nice relaxed bar. Stayed there myself a few times, always had a splendid time.

Located right by Ladybower reservoir.
