Hi,
Finally got my hands on a proper shock to replace the abysmal Manitou Coiler X3 lump. The Manitou had really poor shaft/bushing tolerance and thus had massive amounts of stiction by default. Never mind issues with diaphragms failing and leaking air, it was never supple and I hated it so badly I promise I'll never buy another Manitou product or any bike equipped with Manitou.
Got the sag nearly there on the Cane Creek, just about getting away with a 350 spring (my old Manitou 400 spring is over 100g heavier!) but does anyone have any set-up hints? I doesn't seem like i'm going to be able to dial out pedal bob completely, so I'm going to focus on plushness overall. It's taken a while to get used to the shaft velocity that the low-speed damping circuits work on, but I'm getting there.
Any advice? Recommended deviations from the base setting?
Thanks!
