[#676678]

Just got back from passports last night. Had a wicked time with guiding. The event its self and some exploring. The weather after looking on the web before was astounding with no rain when we were riding and nothing too hot.

For Passports we did the Torgon route with the best steep, rooty singletrack on the route together with the red option down to Champery. I got lost by taking a short cut down the four cross track at mossettes then had to play catchup to Champery on my favourite part of the route the twisty tight single track half way down to Champery. All in all it was great for fairground type riding.

Breakages in the group included one nose, three gear cables, one fork, one crank set, one hub, and one seat clamp. Bike shop at the bottom of the Pleny sorted us out though.

Guiding day was very good. Sorry for all those who had to ride with me being a bit rude. My excuse is that I usually ride in deep dark woods in Sweden or Northumberland with no one around.

HackneyRider - You're Ollie, yes?

(Sorry, I'm crap with names)

WCA stayed home (New job etc) unfortunately....

The final 4 that made the trip was me, Andy (Behind me in white helmet), Dr P (Full face lid near the front) and Gary/Olderthandirt (in front of me in blue lid)
We drank beer, rode trails and took the piss a lot..... It's possible we've christened ourselves as the 'Dutch Downhilling Squad' but that's a loooooooong story.

What are the trails like at Torgon? Doing the enduro there in August.

There is a wee lift that does not have a bike holder on it on the way out of Torgon you have to balance your pedal on the metal of the seat and the nice lady says careful of pylon 6 which she was darn right about as I nearly lost my bike. Anyway the trails. You could take the easy or the hard. The easy was fire road. The hard was really nice flowing, steep technical trails. I believe from the VTT guide book you can descend all the way to the Rhone valley below.
