Which one is king? Is one better than the other?

I’ve not had experience of either but used a Cyclo threading and facing tool professionally for ten years with no problems, a very well made tool in a nice case! I’ve no idea how it compares price wise but the facing cutter is still nice and sharp after facing hundreds of frames. Hope this helps.

Cyclus ones are even cheaper I think and do a fine job. Can't really see scope for improvement. We've done thousands of frames with ours and although it's on its nth set of cutters (3rd, maybe 4th) it's otherwise going strong.

I've also found the Cyclus (not Cyclo) BB taps go blunt very quickly. Once blunt they are fine for cleaning muck out of the threads and tidying damage on the lead-in but nothing more. I suspect they are just basic carbon steel (not HSS). The handles are very nice and align lh to rh very easily. Probably fine if just for aluminium frames.

I've got an Icetoolz set of cutters and taps which is doing quite well for home framebuild use - was about £200 which now seems a bargain as most UK suppliers now want double that. Handles etc more faffy and less heavy duty than Cyclus, Cyclo etc.

Do you want it do anything else (eg face, italian threads, T47 etc). If so check what other parts are available to fit the same handles and how much they cost.
