[#1246878]

Hi, I am looking to retro-fit a pair of Paragon Machine Works sliding drop-outs onto my 16" 853 Inbred.

Has anybody carried out similar work on their frame?

I can remember one of the STW staff single-speeding a Kona a while back, but not sure if they used those type drop-outs.

Any advice would be most appreciated.(by the way I am living in the US at the mo and will be getting the work done over here)
Cheers

I'd talk to whoever's going to do the work for you.

i'd give the same advice make sure the people doing the work know exactly what you want, and that you want the rear axle position to remain the same.

The frame will need a fair bit of tweaking (read bending) as the stays need to be shorter and the seat stays steeper than with the standard on one drop outs.

Thanks, I have spoken to Mark from PMW and he has given me a short list of the most likely parts that would fit. Still looking for a frame builder/repair around my area in the US to carry out the work.
If I get any headway I'll try and post some pics.
Cheers
