[#12368013]

I did try a search but didn't find many results that were recent.

Currently got a small-ish pair of panniers but they are not easily removable so I have to decant my shopping into them, and the hooks that stop them wobbling like to come off the rack.

Loads on Amazon of unknown quality, any recommendations for a pair of semi-rigid backed panniers? If they unclip from the rack fairly easily so I can scan my shopping straight into them so I don't buy too much...even better. (Current ones have a long strap that needs threading through several clips and the rack)

It's only a shopper bike so don't want to spend too much...unless they can double up for a camping trip in which case I'd spend a bit more.

Carradice cotton duck might be worth looking at, especially if you want the retro look.

I have altura dryline. Very happy with them, clip on and off fast, i run a strap round them for offroad touring to stop rattling, not needed on road

I've got a Sahoo waterproof pannier, it's basically an Ortlieb copy including the quick on and off hooks.

Been using it for a couple of years and it's still in good nick. I did have to replace the hooks because I broke one clacking it on a width restrictor, but it was cheaply replaced, actually with some genuine Ortlieb ones.

Edit - one useful thing for shopping about the roll top panniers is that the capacity of them is huge for light items of you leave the top open like a bucket. You just have to be careful stuff doesn't jump out.

Ortlieb are expensive but very well made. I've worn out one set in 18 years of daily commuting.
