[#7627329]

Off on family hols for half term to Palma.
After a really shit year I'm hoping for a week of family stuff.
That said, I'll probably escape for an hour or two early either on or off road.
Not looking for massive epicness, just a nice couple of routes.
Staying about 10 mins south of the airport.
Any advice would be great.

Plus any must doos with the family would be great.

Give toni a call:-

http://www.tramuntbike.com/

He'll rent you a bike ,bring it to you and take you on a guided ride,on or off road.

At this time of year a lot of places outside palma are likely to be closed.

But the list of family stuff above is a good one, just not sure if the teain to soller will be running at this time of year.

Go to puerto portals for a bit of up market food and drink, its abot 20 mins drive from palma.

In palma itself, the la llonja area near the cathedral is worth a wondér around, also santa catalina area is worth a visit for food\drink.

Geoff, thanks, that list looks spot on.
Julians, the hotel appears to have its own cycle centre, but I'll check out the above.

If you dont need a bike, toni will still take you out on a guided ride. Just tell him what sort of thing you fancy, uplift only, xc or something in between

If you go to Soller (railway is great), leave the family to enjoy day on beach/in old town and have a guided ride...

The Barranc de Biniaraix is great fun

Julians, went on a half day jaunt with Toni, it was fantastic.
What a nice fella, and as you said, picked me up, supplied the bike and guided.
It was an expensive morning but understandably as it was just me.
Loved it. Will try and get a few mates to go back and do some more.
